Wooglefog took a little longer to complete than I had originally planned. As it was a much longer book and far more detailed than any of my previous children's picture books, more time was needed to make sure the page layouts were as good as they could be, ready to send to print.

My amazing local printers managed to turn around all the requested copies in a few short weeks, which gave me just enough time to ask (beg) Mandy at Memorable Events, for a last minute book launch! We had planned for October half term week originally, but it became clear very quickly that this wasn't a realistic deadline. Luckily Mandy and her staff managed to accommodate me in the last weekend of November, before the Christmas rush. She really pulled out all the stops and even managed to get hold of Santa for the day!

What a magical day. With just one week to get the word out and promote the book launch, we managed to have a successful day reading and selling books. With every book sale a free A4 colour print was given, along with stickers and book marks. Santa Claus himself offered little gifts and stickers too, alongside the mince pies, fairy cakes and non-alcoholic mulled wine.

It was a joy to see familiar faces alongside new ones and it really felt like everybody had a lovely time. It was the first time that I had read the book out loud, and I was over the moon (and relieved) to see that children and families enjoyed it! For those of you reading this who made the effort to attend, I cannot thank you enough, you really made our day.
